Compliance Process
The compliance process ensures that games hosted on Peer2Play meet legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Peer2Play uses smart agents—AI-driven automated systems—to streamline and enhance the compliance checks for faster onboarding while maintaining high standards of integrity.
Legal Compliance
Peer2Play requires all game developers to submit documentation to verify that their games comply with international and regional laws. This includes, but is not limited to:
Intellectual Property (IP) Rights: Developers must provide proof that they own or have the rights to use the content (e.g., graphics, music, characters) in their games.
Age-Appropriate Content: Peer2Play ensures that games are appropriately rated and comply with age restrictions in different jurisdictions. Games must not contain any illegal or inappropriate content, such as offensive language, graphic violence, or discriminatory themes.
Regulatory Compliance: Games that feature in-game purchases, token economies, or NFTs must comply with financial regulations in relevant countries. This includes following anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) guidelines where applicable.
Compliance Checks Using Smart Agents
Peer2Play uses smart agents—AI-driven algorithms designed to automatically scan games and their assets for compliance violations. These smart agents perform a variety of functions:
IP Scanning: Smart agents check submitted game assets (e.g., art, audio, and text) for potential copyright infringement by cross-referencing them against public databases and copyrighted material archives.
Content Analysis: Games are automatically scanned for inappropriate or non-compliant content (e.g., excessive violence or offensive language). The AI checks both visual and text-based content to ensure compliance with regional age restrictions and ethical standards.
Regulatory Monitoring: Smart agents review in-game financial systems (e.g., token transactions) to ensure they comply with local financial laws. This includes ensuring that in-game transactions do not violate tax, AML, or KYC regulations.
Manual Review for Complex Cases
While smart agents perform the bulk of compliance checks, any flagged games or complex compliance cases are escalated for manual review by Peer2Play’s legal and compliance team.
